This Privacy Policy explains how U Need (the "App", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and otherwise processes personal information when you use the U Need customer mobile application (package name com.uneeduser.app) and related services.

U Need is a 4-in-1 on-demand services application that lets you shop for products, book home services, book rides, and request parcel deliveries through a single platform. U Need is owned and operated by Dhenusya Infotech Private Limited ("Company").

By downloading, registering on, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

1.Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

• Name
• Mobile number
• Email address
• Profile information (such as a profile photo, if provided)

Location Information

Where you permit access and applicable law allows, we may collect precise or approximate location information to:

• Show you nearby restaurants, merchants, and service providers
• Facilitate order pickup and delivery
• Provide and track ride-booking services
• Improve location-based features and estimated timelines

Orders, Bookings, and Service Information

• Orders placed (food, groceries, electronics, and other products)
• Service bookings (home services, mechanics, salon, and similar categories)
• Ride bookings and trip details
• Parcel and delivery requests, including pickup and drop-off addresses
• Order/booking history, status, and related transaction records

Payment Information

Where you make a payment through the App, certain payment-related information (such as transaction status, payment method type, and payment reference IDs) is collected. Full card, UPI, or bank credentials are handled directly by our authorized third-party payment service providers and are not stored on our servers.

Device and Usage Information

• Device type, model, and operating system
• App version
• Device identifiers
• IP address
• App usage, diagnostic, and error/crash information

Push Notification / Notification Tokens

To send you order updates, booking status, ride status, and promotional notifications (where permitted), the App collects a device push-notification token (such as a Firebase Cloud Messaging / FCM token). This token is associated with your account so we can deliver relevant notifications to your device.

Communications

Where you contact our customer support or communicate with a partner through channels provided in the App, we may retain relevant records of such communications.

2.How We Use Your Information

We may use the information collected to:

• Create and manage your U Need account
• Process your orders, bookings, ride requests, and deliveries
• Connect you with relevant restaurants, merchants, service professionals, drivers, and delivery partners
• Process payments and refunds
• Provide customer support and respond to your queries
• Send order, booking, and service-related notifications
• Send promotional communications, where permitted and subject to your preferences
• Improve, secure, and maintain the App and its features
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or misuse
• Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

We process personal information in accordance with applicable law and the relevant lawful basis or consent applicable to that processing.

3.Location Permissions

You can manage location permissions for the App at any time through your device settings. Restricting location access may limit or disable certain features, such as nearby recommendations, live order tracking, or ride booking.

4.Sharing of Information

We may share relevant information, only to the extent reasonably necessary, with:

• Restaurants, merchants, and retailers fulfilling your order
• Independent service professionals fulfilling your booking
• Delivery partners and drivers fulfilling delivery or ride requests
• Authorized payment service providers
• Technology and cloud infrastructure service providers
• Customer support service providers
• Government or regulatory authorities, where legally required

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5.Data Security

We implement reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and should never share OTPs or passwords with anyone.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes including:

• Providing the requested services
• Maintaining transaction and financial records
• Resolving disputes and handling complaints
• Preventing fraud and abuse
• Complying with applicable legal, tax, or regulatory obligations

We are not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third parties not controlled by us.

9.Children's Privacy

U Need is intended for use by individuals who meet the minimum age required to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children below the legally applicable age without appropriate consent. Where any part of the service is intended for use by a minor, it must be accessed through a parent or legal guardian.

11.Changes to This Privacy Policy
